Troop 508 Awards

Troop 508 has won many awards through it's 47 yr of existence.  We don't want to brag but
be proud of our years of dedication and excellence.

Troop 508 has won 1/3 of the summer camp contests through the years. 

It has supplied over half of the leaders of camps and Camporees in our district.

Members have become district officers that help run our program in Western Star.

Most of the leaders are Woodbadge Trained.  We send boys to oakleaf and many of the boys are
active in Order of the Arrow.

We had 5 Eagles in 2008 and we average 11% of the boys graduating to Eagle (2% Nationally)

508 Adults have earned and were awarded the District Award of Merit. 
9 of the last 27 who received the award in the last 10 years were from 508.

8 of the last 10 Scouters who received the Silver Beaver for Circle 10 during the last 10 years were from 508.

Newest 508 leader to get Silver Beaver 2009 Randy Svajda

Troop 508 won the first 2 years that the trophy for the Spring Camporee was started.

 

Troop 508 has won the trophy for donating the most in FOS campaigns in 2006 and 2008.
